Self-Guided Kayaking Moderate/Outdoors
This is a great opportunity to round up some friends for a group paddle along the shoreline or experience a quiet paddle on your own. Take advantage of the opportunity to see beautiful fall views and wildlife species to include deer, western painted turtles, muskrats, and various bird species. Single kayaks, paddles and life jackets are included; participants are welcome to bring their own life jackets, if they so choose. Those with their own personal kayaks that want to go at this time do not need to regsiter - just show up and join in for this self-guided adventure. This is simply a rental opportunity for those without gear. Participants should all meet at 1pm to obtain equipment. Park at the large parking lot along the main entrance road, near the warming house. Walk a short-distance down the Old Oak Trail to the east towards the kayak launch on School Section Lake. Gear needs to be turned in by 5pm at the kayak launch.
