The War for the Rio Grande: Discussion @ UTSA

The battle over the Rio Grande has begun. As the border river collapses, Mexico and Texas are fighting over the dwindling reservoirs, and millions of people could lose their drinking water as soon as next year. Writer Jack Herrera and photographer Jordan Vonderhaar embarked on an investigation spanning 1,900 miles, following the river through both countries for a special issue of Texas Monthly. 

Their reporting is also the subject of a 22-minute documentary airing on PBS as part of the series “Texas Monthly Presents: The Story.”
