THE INVITE

Film introduction by Seth Rogen.
Angela (Olivia Wilde) and Joe (Seth Rogen) have a marriage on thin ice. When Angela invites their enigmatic upstairs neighbors, Hawk (Edward Norton) and Piña (Penélope Cruz), over for dinner, much to her exhausted husband's dismay, the evening spirals into unexpected places. Angela hopes to show off their newly renovated historic San Francisco apartment and apologize for the construction noise. Joe, meanwhile, sees a chance to confront the couple about their loud and frequent lovemaking. What follows is an evening of hilariously awkward conversation and explosive emotional revelations that may reignite the spark in Angela and Joe's marriage or burn it all down. Directed by Olivia Wilde, The Invite is an uproarious and insightful exploration of adult romantic relationships, as the two couples are pulled into a funny, fraught, and long-overdue night of soul-searching. Actor Seth Rogen will introduce the screening.
