The Great Global Mend

Perth is set to mend its way (unofficially) into the record books as local communities come together for The Great Global Mend, an 'unofficial' world record attempt for the most people mending and repairing simultaneously.

Learn how to give your clothes a new lease on life and reduce the amount of clothing going to landfill! This event is for anyone with something in need of repair ♻️, and your chance to be part of a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity, sustainability, and community.

Check those wardrobes and drawers, and bring something to repair, bring your own sewing kit (if you have one), and join the fun! Don't worry, if you are a beginner, we will have experts on site with spare equipment, and plenty of advice and practical tips on repairing garments. We have also teamed up with FabPatch, a fantastic small business offering free rub on patches - so everyone should be able to patch up their favourite garment or shoes, and give them a second life!  

All are welcome—from curious beginners to experienced stitchers!
