Following a self-guided tour of the show, which explores the complexity of American-ness through 27 works created by past Artists-in-Residence, curator Hilde Nelson will unpack some of the materials that drove the artistic process. Sift through a selection of artist boxes to uncover test prints, notes, photographs, scale models, and production materials that reveal the artists’ conceptual and material approach over the course of their residencies.
