With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means:  Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show.  Guests maintain possession of these items at all times.  Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue.  All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

 

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.


About The Original Room


This is where it all started. April 7th, 1972. This is the room where The Store became the home of American Comedy. Known for its intimate shows and late nights, The Original Room is the favorite space for super star comedians and after midnight heroes to test material, find their voices, and riff with the piano player.

Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.


Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.

Ron Funches

Ron Funches is a triple threat. He is an excellent stand up comedian, actor and writer. nRon has built an impressive acting resume. Whether it’s lending his voice to projects like Trolls, Bob’s Burgers, and Adventure Time. Or his memorable acting roles on Curb Your Enthusiasm, Black•ish, New Girl, Transparent, Powerless, and Undateable. He even made being a gang member likable in the film Get Hard.nnHis personal appearances include Conan, The Tonight Show, @midnight, Chopped, Cupcake Wars and many more.nnRon is a great writer too. His writing credits include The Eric Andre Show, Kroll Show and several television pilots.nnRon is also a pretty solid dad and friend. He lives in Southern California with his son.

Rene Vaca

Al Madrigal

Best known as the Senior Latino Correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Al Madrigal has made a name for himself in stand-up comedy, acting and as a writer. He stars in the movie Night School with Kevin Hart, The Way Back with Ben Affleck and the upcoming Morbius for SONY with Jared Leto. On the TV side, Al was a series regular and writer on Showtime’s I’m Dying Up Here and most recently worked as a writer, actor and producer on the CBS sitcom Broke. His critically acclaimed hour special, “Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy” premiered on Showtime in 2017. He is also the co-founder of the All Things Comedy network, alongside fellow comic Bill Burr.

Whitney Cummings

Whitney Cummings is a comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, entrepreneur, and host of the hit podcast “Good for You.” Launched in 2019, “Good For You” is self-produced and features conversations with Whitney’s friends, fellow comedians, and experts in a variety of fields, including neuroscience, veterinary medicine, and magic. Best known for creating and starring in the NBC series “Whitney,” Whitney is also the co-creator and co-writer of the syndicated Emmy-nominated CBS comedy series “2 Broke Girls.” She has appeared in numerous television shows, films, and stand-up specials, including her fifth stand up special, “Whitney Cummings: JOKES” which was released on Netflix in July 2022. On the big screen, Whitney was last seen in the Machine Gun Kelly and Mod Sun comedy “Good Mourning” and the Foo Fighters’ horror-comedy “Studio 666.” Other recent film credits include “How It Ends,” “The Opening Act,” and the forthcoming “At Midnight” from director Jonah Feingold. On television, Whitney will next be seen leading an episode of “Accused,” the forthcoming FOX/Sony TV anthology drama series from Howard Gordon, Alex Gansa and David Shore. Whitney also recently received praise for her week-long guest hosting stint on “The Wendy Williams Show” in October 2021. Other notable TV appearances include “Tacoma FD,” “Workaholics,” “Crashing,” “Undateable,” and the Comedy Central Roasts, which have solidified her presence in comedy television. In 2017 she published her memoir titled “I’m Fine … And Other Lies.” That same year, Whitney made her directorial debut with the feature adaptation of Louann Brizendine’s best-seller, “The Female Brain.” Following the success of her sold out “Codependent Tour,” Whitney just wrapped the “Touch Me Tour,” her stand-up comedy theater tour spanning 75+ cities across North America. She can currently be seen on her “I Club You Tour” while working on material for a new theatre tour in 2023. Whitney’s new roast series on OFTV will premiere in early 2023 and will feature the celebrated roast format with a behind the scenes look at what is involved in crafting jokes in the writer’s room. Confirmed roastees of honor for the first two episodes of the series include Whitney Cummings and Bert Kreischer.

Erik Griffin

A towering force of comedy, Erik Griffin is most recognizable as the mustachioed Montez Walker on the hit Comedy Central series WORKAHOLICS, which recently wrapped its seventh and final season. Griffin will next starred as a series regular in Showtime’s dark-comedy series I’M DYING UP HERE . Based on the book by former L.A. Times writer William Knoedelseder, the fictionalized series is set in the celebrated yet infamous L.A. stand-up comedy scene of the '70s, and co-stars Melissa Leo, Al Madrigal and Ari Graynor, under executive producer Jim Carrey. Griffin’s first hour-long comedy special, THE UGLY TRUTH, also air on Showtime. Previous television credits include a recurring role on the Starz! comedy BLUNT TALK with Patrick Stewart, Netflix’s ONE DAY AT A TIME, FX’s YOU’RE THE WORST, Fox’s BOB’S BURGERS, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and Nickelodeon’s HARVEY BREAKS.nn On the big screen, Griffin can be seen in Jake Szymanski’s MIKE & DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES and Kerem Sanga’s FIRST GIRL I LOVED.nn Distinguished as a nationally touring comedian who headlines comedy clubs and colleges nearly every weekend, Griffin’s comedy is immortalized on his debut comedy album, Technical Foul: Volume One, and his Comedy Central Presents half-hour stand-up special. Griffin started his career in comedy after making the decision in 2003 to quit his job and pursue comedy full-time. He first gained national exposure in Comedy Central’s LIVE AT GOTHAM, NBC’s LAST COMIC DRIVING, Showtime’s COMICS WITHOUT BORDERS, nationally syndicated COMICS UNLEASHED and performing on the ALMA Award-nominated PAYASO COMEDY SLAM on Showtime and Comedy Central networks.

Jeff Ross

Most recently you can see Jeff on Netflix in “Bumping Mics” with Dave Attell. It is three episodes of rapid fire two man stand up. The joke per minute ratio, is off the rails. Jeff and Dave are headliners in their own right, but when they combine forces it's a whole other beast that can't be tamed. nnSoon Jeff will be back on Netflix starring in a series called “Historical Roasts” where he hosts his dream roasts with some of the most famous people in history. nnAs a regular on the Comedy Central Roasts, Jeff has roasted many infamous stars including Bruce Willis, Justin Bieber, Roseanne Barr, Joan Rivers, Charlie Sheen, and The President of The United States Donald Trump. nnThese roasts have become a mainstay in popular culture and propelled roasting into the public eye. Building on their success, Jeff launched “Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle” in 2016, a competition show in which comics go mic to mic in a battle of wits. Judged by some of the best comedy minds of our generation, including Jimmy Kimmel, Kevin Hart ,and Seth Rogen, Roast Battle has introduced new stars and started a movement. nnComedy Central has since taken the format international, producing versions of the show in Britain and South Africa, while homegrown “Roast Battles” continue to pop up at comedy clubs all across the world. Season 3 of Roast Battle will air on Comedy Central later this year. nnJeff's most recent comedy specials turn roasting into social commentary. With Jeff Ross Roasts Criminals, Jeff Ross Roasts Cops, and Jeff Ross Roasts The Border, Jeff has shed light on some of the more polarizing political issues of our time. These specials have taken him to a maximum security prison, the Boston Police Department, and both sides of the Mexican border. Jeff has immersed himself in these communities and then roasted them. nnJeff also regularly tours with the USO to perform for our troops overseas. Most recently Jeff traveled to Iraq with The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Joseph Dunford, and performed holiday shows for the soldiers stationed there. nnRecently, Jeff has also lent his voice to cartoons, with performances in Future Worm, Penn Zero: Part Time Hero, The Emoji Movie, and as series regular “Hook Foot” on the popular Disney show Tangled. nnThe Roastmaster General is a one man verbal assault unit that takes no prisoners. Giulia Rozzi is a comedian, writer, actress and producer originally from Boston. Her TV appearances include Conan, Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Featuring, Lights Out With David Spade and This Is Not Happening, Chelsea Lately, IFC, and TruTV. She has written for HBO Max’s South Side, MTV’s Girl Code and Silent Library, TV Land’s Younger and Bravo’s Odd Mom Out. Giulia has also been published in The New Yorker, Refinery29, Esquire, and Huffington Post and the anthologies My Parents Were Awesome, Mortified and Eating Salad Drunk. Her comedy album True Love was named one of Sirius XM’s best of the year and she gave a TEDx talk on humor and healing, fancy!nnAs a first generation American with a very Italian name she is constantly asked “were you named after Julia Giulia from the Wedding Singer?” and the answer is no.

Described by LA Weekly as A Comic Who's got Big Ideas and Big Plans to go Big Places, Byron Bowers is a stand-up comedian and actor that was named by LA Weekly as a Comedy Act to Watch. He was also featured as a New Face at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.nnByron recently made his CBS late night debut on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He also appears in much anticipated dramatic film Honey Boy which recently premiered in Sundance and was Bought by Amazon. He performed at the Famous Hollywood Bowl to 12,000 people next to Flying Lotus, Thundercat, and George Clinton as part of the sold-out Brainfeeder festival. He plays in the horror film KUSO which also premiered in Sundance IN 2018. His TV credits includes playing the character Meldrick in Showtime's hit show The CHI, season three of The Meltdown on Comedy Central, Funny as Hell in Montreal for HBO Canada and Vice Land TV. His festival performances this includes Oddball Comedy Fest, SXSW, Life is Beautiful, Austin City Limits, RIOT, SF Sketchfest and Blue Whale Comedy Festival.nnHis other late night appearances includes The Pete Holmes Show, followed by Jimmy Kimmel Live as well as being featured on The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim, Comedy Central's This is Not Happening as well as Adam Devine's House Party, the reboot of BET's Comic View and MTV's Guy Code and in the first ever comedy show on the History Channel called Crossroads of History.
