M&M Performing Arts Presents; Mr. Dickens Tells A Christmas Carol


Step back in time to 1867 and experience A Christmas Carol exactly as Charles Dickens intended. In this spectacular one-hour performance, actor Michael Muldoon brings Dickens' historic American reading tour to life inside the breathtaking, festively decorated Lyndhurst Mansion.

 

Performing in the second-floor Art Gallery, Muldoon uses Dickens' original performance script to summon the spirits and characters of the holiday classic. As one 1867 newspaper review raved of Dickens' spellbinding performance: "He gave to every character a different voice, a different style, a different face." Don't miss this chance to experience the magic of Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, and Tiny Tim up close.

No photography, videography, or cell phone use is permitted during the performance.



  • The play runs for an hour without intermission. Please plan on 90 minutes including check-in at the Welcome Center.

  • Appropriate for ages 8 and up.

  • All visitors must have a pre-purchased ticket to attend the show.

  • Please present printed tickets or have them available on your smartphone to show to Welcome Center staff when checking in for the show.

  • Performances begin promptly at the designated time, please arrive early to check-in. There will be no late seating.

  • All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

  • Parking is free.

  • There is no late seating.

  • Performances will start in the Carriage House/Welcome Center and move up the hill to the Mansion’s second floor via 25 stairs; it is not handicap accessible.

  • You will check in at the Welcome Center at least 15 minutes before the show’s start time.

  • The play runs about one hour without an intermission.

  • Appropriate for ages 8 and up.

  • Parking is free.
