Russia, 2022. Gleb Morozov (Dmitriy Mazurov), a successful transport company director, lives a comfortable life with his wife Galina (Iris Lebedeva) and teenage son in a sleek, secluded home outside a provincial Russian city. But as the war in Ukraine escalates, the town's mayor orders him to draw up a quota of employees to send to the frontlines. As if the stress from this assignment isn’t enough, Gleb begins to suspect that Galina is having an affair with Anton (Yuriy Zavalnyouk), a photographer. As corporate pressure, wartime paranoia, and personal betrayal collide, Gleb's carefully ordered life gives way to something darker. Loosely adapting Claude Chabrol's “The Unfaithful Wife”, director Andrey Zvyagintsev (Leviathan, Loveless) turns a story of infidelity into a chilling portrait of patriarchal and political corruption, and a country abandoning reason for the rule of the strongest. The director’s first film since his years-long illness and departure from Russia, Minotaur won the Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. This exceptional film is also France’s submission to the Oscars for Best International Feature.
