Little Cinema remixes and reimagines the sci-fi masterpiece The Man Who Fell to Earth (Nicolas Roeg, 1976, 139 min.) in this multimedia screening. The film features David Bowie in his acting debut as Thomas Jerome Newton, an alien who has come to Earth in search of water to save his home planet. It has gone on to develop a cult following for its surreal imagery and Bowie's command performance. This special evening features live music by Jason Lindner, Mark Guiliana, and Tim Lefebvre, who recorded and collaborated on Bowie’s final album, Blackstar (2016). Little Cinema brings its signature flair with video mixing by CHNNLS (Jay Rinsky) and dance by Katherine Crockett.
Tickets are $20 and include Museum general admission. Purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately.
This program is presented in partnership with Little Cinema, an immersive theater company blending cinema and live performance in new and creative ways.
