From Gershwin To Garland

A Musical Journey with Richard Glazier

Acclaimed pianist and Gershwin authority Richard Glazier presents From Gershwin to Garland, a captivating concert celebrating the composers, performers, and songs that shaped American popular culture. Richard’s lifelong connection to the Gershwin legacy began in childhood, when correspondence with lyricist Ira Gershwin led to a personal invitation to visit Ira in Beverly Hills and play George Gershwin’s own piano. Inspired by Ira’s encouragement, Richard has devoted his career to preserving and sharing the timeless music of George Gershwin and the Great American Songbook.

The concert features dazzling piano artistry, rare archival footage, and personal stories from the Golden Age.  Audiences will hear classics such as “Swanee ,” “Someone to Watch Over Me,” “Bess You Is My Woman,” “The Man I Love,” “The Trolley Song,” “The Man That Got Away,” “Over the Rainbow,” and so many more.

Filled with warmth, wit, and behind-the-scenes insights from a lifetime devoted to America’s greatest music, From Gershwin to Garland is an unforgettable evening.
