Lapidus & Myles: Shared Songs, Shared Souls: Celebrating the Enduring Friendship Between Black and Jewish Communities

Join renowned vocalist, musical storyteller, and cultural convener Melvin Kindall Myles and Reform rabbi, Jewish educator, and composer Rabbi Micah Lapidus for an unforgettable evening where music becomes a bridge between communities, traditions, and hearts. Drawing on Melvin's celebrated career performing everywhere from Ebenezer Baptist Church to Carnegie Hall and Micah's work as Composer-in-Residence at The Temple in Atlanta, the duo weaves together powerful songs, moving stories, and timely reflections rooted in the longstanding relationship between the Black and Jewish communities. Through music, conversation, and shared experiences, they explore themes of faith, justice, resilience, and human connection, celebrating both what makes us unique and what binds us together. Come prepared to be inspired, challenged, and uplifted by an evening that lingers long after the final note.
