Josh Ocean Thomas is a young Tunisian stand-up comedian with a magnetic stage presence, a dynamic energy, an over the top physicality, and a quick wit who is a regular at the world-famous Comedy Cellar and The Stand Comedy Club in New York City. He was named a Comic to Watch at the 2025 New York Comedy Festival and performed at the 2026 Netflix is a Joke Comedy Festival. He has been seen on Don’t Tell Comedy, Are You Okay, Standup Desk, and Crosswalk Crush.
Formally a child magician, Josh made the switch to comedy, despite his family’s desires for him to be a doctor. His first foray into comedy was at the age of 15 when he would go door-to-door selling tickets to his own late-night talk show set in his father’s living room.
Weighing in at 160lbs and standing at six feet tall (5’ 11”), he brings tales about his mother, navigating past relationships, and his mixed background to life on stage with an infectious and vibrant delivery. He’s been featuring lately for national headlining comedians like Adam Ray, Morgan Jay, Liza Treyger, Tim Dillon, Geoffrey Asmus, Amber Autry, and Noel Miller.

About The Belly Room
Hidden on our second floor, the Belly Room has been a testing ground for the best developing comedians over the last four decades. Not only have great comedy voices been discovered in this room but some of your favorite shows and podcasts got their start on this tiny but powerful stage. Built by Yakov Smirnoff and his father, the Belly Room is many comics' first home while they work their way up at The Store.

Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.
Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.

Sammy Weiser
Sammy Weiser, born & raised in Los Angeles, did improv at The Groundlings and sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade before breaking into the standup scene. You’ve seen her perform all over LA (Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory). She’s been described as “a bit much” and actually has a BFA in comedy from Emerson College, so she’s certifiably funny. Sammy is the producer and host of her own standup show (The Sweiser Show) at The Comedy Store and works for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg on their upcoming series Sausage Party TV. You may also know her from her podcast, Billie and the Kid by Jam in the Van.
