Indian Food Shopping and Lunch

We had such a great time with Kanika @thatcurrysmell at our Indian Food and Wine class that we asked Kanika to take us shopping!   Kanika has put together a great day of Food Shopping at Patel Brothers then lunch at Haveli in Monroeville.

We will have a guided walk through an authentic Indian grocery, followed by a proper thali lunch, over about 2.5 to 3 hours. Kanika will take us aisle by aisle through the spices, lentils, snacks, produce, explaining what each thing is. We break up the walk with a couple of light grocery games (a spice-cabinet hunt) and a small grocery store snack break. We then sit down together at Haveli, an authentic Indian restaurant in Monroeville, for a full North Indian thali lunch, included in the ticket.

We are excited to offer this adventure into food and to explore more ways to cook at home.
