Holiday Mansion Tours 2026

Experience Lyndhurst Mansion transformed into an gilded wonderland of holiday splendor.

Dozens of Christmas trees are expertly designed and decorated to complement the elegant period furnishings within the mansion’s rooms. For this month only, our curators bring out rarely seen, glittering possessions belonging to Lyndhurst’s former owners—offering a unique opportunity to view archival treasures usually tucked away from public view.

• Duration: This guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and visits the two main floors of the mansion.


• Content: Tours focus on deep discussions of history, architecture, and art.


• Family Recommendations: Because of the lecture-style format, these guided tours may not be entertaining for young children. Families are warmly encouraged to look into our Roam-On-Your-Own events, which allow visitors to explore these festive spaces at their own family-friendly pace.

Important Information, Please Read:

• Please be advised that this tour requires long periods of standing and flights of stairs.


• A limited number of tickets are available for each event, and events do sell out.


• Some tickets may be available for purchase on-site, but these are not guaranteed.


• Please arrive 15 minutes before the entry time on your ticket. If you are late, we will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee it.


• All ticket purchases are non-refundable.


• A Grounds Pass is not needed if you already have a Tour or Event Ticket.


• Not recommended for children under 6 years of age.


• No large bags, backpacks or strollers allowed in the mansion.

Museums for All:

Tickets for entry into the mansion are $5 each for you and your family with your EBT card!  This discounted admission is for up to 4 people per EBT card. Reserve your ticket online with the EBT/SNAP ticket designation.  You MUST present your EBT card at the Welcome Center when you check in. If you cannot present your card, you will be required to pay in full for the event.

Extreme Weather Policy: Welcome Center staff will do their best to give notice if tours are interrupted, delayed, or canceled due to extreme weather. If Lyndhurst cancels your tour for weather-related issues, we will endeavor to reschedule. If rescheduling a tour canceled by Lyndhurst is not possible, we will offer visitors a refund for their tickets.
