The Burlington Baroque Festival Singers, Montréal’s Juno Award-winning baroque orchestra L’Harmonie des saisons, and internationally acclaimed vocal soloists join to perform the extraordinarily dramatic oratorio Israel in Egypt— a vivid depiction of the biblical story of Moses leading the Israelites to freedom from slavery and exile. Handel’s second most popular piece during his career, after Messiah, its monumental choruses, exquisite arias, and magnificent orchestration continue to enthrall listeners today. Burlington Baroque’s use of period instruments and baroque vocal style offers listeners a rare opportunity to experience this glorious musical drama as Handel intended!
