DAMON WAYANS @TheCab

DAMON WAYANS is a comedy institution — an Emmy-nominated writer, actor, and producer whose career has shaped modern comedy for over four decades. He's best remembered for his three seasons as writer and co-star on the Emmy-winning In Living Color, where he created cultural touchstones like "Homey D. Clown," "Handi Man," and Men on Film's Blaine, earning two personal Emmy nominations along the way. After breaking out on Saturday Night Live, WAYANS built a decades-long stand-up career alongside acclaimed HBO specials including One Night Stand, The Last Stand, and Still Standing.

On screen, WAYANS co-created and starred in the hit ABC sitcom My Wife and Kids, which earned the 2002 People's Choice Award for Favorite New Television Comedy Series and remains a syndication and streaming staple. His film résumé spans Major Payne, Blankman, Mo' Money, Beverly Hills Cop, and Bamboozled, among many others. A New York Times bestselling author (Bootleg, Red Hats), he most recently co-created and starred opposite his son Damon Wayans Jr. in the CBS sitcom Poppa's House. Still touring clubs and theaters nationwide, WAYANS remains one of comedy's most fearless and influential voices.

Comix Roadhouse's Cab stage brings that same icon-caliber energy home: Connecticut Magazine named it the state's Best Casino Casual Dining pick for 2026, and OpenTable diners voted it a 2026 Diners' Choice favorite — proof this is as much a destination as it is a stage.
