JUST ADDED! A Conversation with Diane Warren and Lesley Barber
Two of the most celebrated women in music and film are joining us for an intimate conversation.
Songwriter icon Diane Warren is feisty, funny and a 17-time Oscar nominee, and she’s going for her 18th nomination this year. How does she do it? Diane has written nine #1 and 33 Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, and she’s tied for the most #1 songs written by a sole writer in Billboard history. She is a GRAMMY winner, an Emmy winner and a two-time Golden Globe winner, and she has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her songs have been recorded by everyone from Whitney Houston, Cher and Celine Dion to Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, and they’ve been featured in more than 150 films. Among them are “Because You Loved Me,” “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and “Un-Break My Heart.” In 2022, she became the first songwriter in history to receive an Honorary Oscar.
Groundbreaking film composer Lesley Barber is best known for her scores in Kenneth Lonergan’s Oscar-nominated Manchester by the Sea and You Can Count on Me. Her wide-ranging credits also include Patricia Rozema’s Mansfield Park, Mira Nair’s Golden Globe-winning Hysterical Blindness, Nisha Ganatra’s Late Night and Bonjour Tristesse. She scored Mindy Kaling’s Four Weddings and a Funeral series, Yo-Yo Ma: Six Gestures, and the beloved children’s series Little Bear with Maurice Sendak. Lesley also scored the documentary Diane Warren: Relentless, and she is a Governor of the Academy’s Music Branch.
This is a rare chance to spend time with two incredible women. You know their music; now’s your chance to get to know them!
