With the help of Yondr bags, we at the Comedy Store create phone-free spaces for artists and comedians.  

What that means: Upon arrival at the venue, all phones and smart watches are placed in Yondr cases and will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of these items at all times. Guests may also access their phones at any time only in the designated Phone Use Areas throughout the venue. All phones will be re-secured upon returning to the event space.

Anyone seen using a device during the performance in a non-designated area will be escorted out of the venue by security. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience.

“Comedians and a Candidate,” a special fundraiser featuring six top comedians and San Diego City Council candidate Mark Powell. Mark is a lifelong San Diegan and first-generation American who grew up in Clairemont and University City. His career has taken him from the classroom to public safety, local government, and small business—including service as a Reserve Police Officer, teacher, Board of Education member, and business owner. Now he's running for the San Diego City Council. Come laugh. Come have fun. Come meet Mark.
