About The Original Room
This is where it all started. April 7th, 1972. This is the room where The Store became the home of American Comedy. Known for its intimate shows and late nights, The Original Room is the favorite space for super star comedians and after midnight heroes to test material, find their voices, and riff with the piano player.

Because our shows are in such high demand, we are not able to hold seat after the show starts.
Ticket holders should be checked in or in line by showtime. Once the show has started, your seat may not be held. Any open seats will be made available to standby customers. All late arrivals or unclaimed tickets will be void and non-refundable.

Chris Spencer
Its hard to keep a straight face when talking to Chris Spencer. Extremely talented and hilarious, this quick-witted funnyman has a resume spanning over 30 years since his start in the business at six years old. Today, his resume ranges across several sectors of the industry – acting, writing, producing, directing and stand-up. With more than thirty television commercials, nine feature films, numerous television show appearances, a published book and nationwide comedy tours under his belt, Spencer is truly at the top of the entertainment game. nnHe co-created, along with Kevin Hart, BET’s hit original faux reality series Real Husbands of Hollywood and was also instrumental in the success of Nick Cannon’s Wild’n Out. nnHe recently directed his first feature. A comedy in the vein of The Full Monty Meets White Mike starring Tiffany Haddish, Wesley Snipes, Spencer Moore, Faizon Love, Gary Owen, JB Smoove and Bill Bellamy entitled Back on the Strip! nnChris has also been the head writer for countless shows such as The Emmy’s, The ESPY Awards, The Mark Twain Prize, Laugh In’s 50th Anniversary, The BET Awards, SNL, NAACP Image Awards, Grown-ish, The Hip Hop Awards and the MTV Video Music Awards…to name a few. nnChris currently has major projects with NBC Peacock, Universal, Viacom and has published the bestselling book 150 Ways to Tell If You’re Ghetto and is working on a new book called The Shepherd where he shares his experiences of working with the G.O.A.T.S of comedy such as Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, Wanda Sykes and Jamie Foxx to name a few.
Jessica Michelle Singleton
Comedian JESSICA MICHELLE SINGLETON is a powerhouse of comedy in a teeny tiny package - known for her high energy, overly honest, and always silly performances. nnJMS skyrocketed to international comedy acclaim after becoming the first ever English speaking comedian to perform at the prestigious Montreux Comedy Festival which lead to two sold out European tours and one in South Africa. Her debut hour special, ‘Hi Y’all’ was released on YouTube in October 2025. Jessica is the breakout star of Iliza’s Locals (Hulu), a comedy special series produced by Iliza Shlesinger. Her Don’t Tell Comedy performance(s) have amassed millions of views online across multiple platforms. Currently on tour w Bert Kreischer, though he can also be seen weekly at The World Famous Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip. He has two monthly shows at the Comedy Store, Buried with Craig Conant and New Joke Night with JF Harris.
Asif Ali
Asif Ali started his career as a club grown comic & improviser into becoming a heavily credited tv/film actor. He can be seen on the Emmy Nominated series Disney+ Marvel WandaVision, The Mandalorian, Netflix Bojack Horseman, & much more! Recently, Asif will be in the acclaimed feature Don’t Worry Darling w/ Olivia Wilde & Chris Pine as well as Amblin’s Easter Sunday. When he isn’t acting, Asif is touring with Jo Koy honing his craft in preparation for his comedy special. Standup is his first love & his bits have been featured on Comedy Central, Netflix, and FOX. Along with being one of the brightest and hilarious comics around George is an accomplished actor screenwriter and proud father of four children.nnEvolving Hollywood.com calls George Perez “the freshest face in comedy with a comedic range that can compete with the best of them.” (2014). George uses his own life experiences as his anecdote to every joke. His poise and familiarity with growing up in the streets becoming a young father and tearing down every stereotype has evolved George as a fresh comic making light of his tragedies and growth. It also allows the audience to relate to him on multiple levels; allowing him to cross over with all audiences through original storytelling and authenticity.nnGeorge Perez has appeared on numerous television shows such as Comedy Central SHOWTIME PAYASO COMEDY SLAM LATV Live Loco Comedy Jam Mind of Mencia Master P’s Black Superman and starred in three episodes of MTV's Yo Momma where he got to use his sly wit and quick thinking to win his episode. After working with Wilmer Valderama he was asked to return for the Best of LA episode as a final competitor with MTV’s highest ratings. Other appearances include Fox’s Laugh TV and the anticipated comedy film entitled “Taco Shop” from the Producers of Selena.
